This non-profit is going to help homeless and at risk youth by providing a safe environment in their community. We hope that every child will receive the full support and care that they need by joining this program. Even after they leave the program we will assure you that our youth will have a better self-esteem and a brighter future then what they had before. YASS has programs that will prepare our youth for the future by helping them find the right job or career path ment for them.
The YASS Street Outreach program is open six days a week to serve youth in crisis. We offer a variety of services to homeless and at-risk youth, ages 12 to 21.
If you are a youth in need of assistance or know some body, please call us, or visit our youth resources page.

Youth Outreach
YASS outreach workers hit the streets of Omaha, looking for youth in crisis. They carry backpacks filled with basic needs and emergency supplies and patrol areas where homeless and at-risk youth tend to congregate. Outreach workers are trained to identify a young person in need and to provide immediate information and services.
Depending on the weather, our outreach team patrols downtown Omaha, Council Bluffs and other parts of the metro area five to six days per week. YASS outreach workers wear clothing which clearly identifies them as YASS outreach workers.Outreach workers invite homeless and street-dependent youth, ages 12 to 21, to the YASS Street Outreach Center. Youth are welcome to this safe place to have a meal, shower, do laundry and meet other young people. The staff is available for emotional support and to assist youth in other areas such as:
* Education planning
* Job searching
* Crisis intervention
* Problem solving
* Computer access
